Microsoft has released rollup 2 for Exchange 2007 SP2, this rollup contains several fixes among which:
- CAS server becomes slower when a user access a folder with a lot of content
- Meetings will be displayed as all day events while this is not the case when synchronized via a mobile device
- log and database increase abnormally
- mails which need to be send to remote domains get stuck in the queue

Today Microsoft has release rollup 1 for Exchange 2010. This is the first update for Exchange 2010 which fixes the following issues:
VSS backup doesn’t react anymore when creating a VSS backup of the Exchange 2010 databases.
Some attachments could not be opened in Outlook Web App.
Exchange RPC access crashes.
Meeting requests which are sent to meeting rooms will not be processed.
Folders can’t be renamed when moving them with CopyFolder (IMAP) and then renaming it.
Location is not updated when a meeting is modified.

Install a rollup for Exchange, that’s the way it goes most times. But in some cases it can go wrong, OWA doesn’t work anymore after an upgrade is an example of this. To prevent this from happening Amit Tank (MVP Exchange) wrote an article where he explains which steps to be performed before installing the rollup. Besides this he also explains which logs are created in case you need to troubleshoot an issue.

It has been a while but since this week I am back online thanks to my neighbour. My own provider hasn’t been able to arrange the new connection despite several phone calls and a letter which mentioned the line should be working on 21-7.
Nevertheless, last week Rollup 9 for Exchange 2007 SP1 which contains several fixes. One of the fixes is to improve the performance of ESEUtil when running it on a Windows 2008 R2 system.
Besides this SP2 for Exchange 2007 will be released soon, so a lot of news about Exchange.

It has been a few days ago since Microsoft has release Rollup 8 for Exchange 2007 SP1. I was pretty busy the last few days so that’s why the post is a little bit later then normal..
Rollup 8 contains fixes for several issues a few of them are displayed below:
- Exchange Information store stops spontaneously
- Meeting request from external senders will be displayed as busy instead of tentative
- Calender permissions will get reset when you use the set-mailboxcalendersettings
- Users can’t open the addressbook in OWA
- EdgeTransport.exe crashes continuously

Today Microsoft has release rollup 7 for Exchange 2007 SP1. This rollup contains fixes for several issues:
- images could not be pasted in OWA
- the transport service is crashing spontaniously
- edgetransport.exe my crash on a hub transport server
- several issues with SCR
