Since last yesterday evening the public beta of Exchange 2010 is available for download. The beta is only available in 64-bit and not in 32-bit such as Exchange 2007.

MFCMapi makes it possible to edit the mailbox directly via the Messaging API (MAPI). This can be very usefull to remove a setting which is still on an object but is not visible anymore in the GUI. For example an user which is a delegate but does not exist in AD but you still receive error when trying to arrange a meeting with the mailbox. This can cause a lot of e-mails about non existing users. With MFCMapi you can remove the entry and solve the issue you have.

If you would like to test the mail performance of your server then you could use jetstress to test your database. But when you would like to decide yourself what kind of e-mails you want to send to your mailserver then you should have a look at Blat. Blat is a command-line mailer which can be used in a batch file which send multiple mails to your mailserver. This program is not ment to be used for bothering other people with bulkmails. The guys from the Microsoft Exchange Team have worked on a new version of the Storage Requirements Calculator. This week version 16 is released of the Mailbox Server Role Storage Requirements Calculator. It’s a very useful tool when you need to determine what are the storage requirements for your mailbox server.

As you may already know a lot of funtions from Exchange 2007 are using certificates. Microsoft has released a tool a while ago which can check certificates that are used for certificate based authentication for ActivSync. Maybe you have seen this tool before, maybe you don’t, but this nice piece of software you really want to see. With the device emulator you can emulate Windows Mobile 5 as well as Windows Mobile 6.
